5 REASONS TO SNAG A TICKET FOR THE FARMERS MARKET KICK-OFF PARTY!
May 15
5:30–8:30PM
Squatters Pub & Brewery
If you've been to the Market Kick-Off Party, this column is not for you. We know--for a fact--that you were waiting for registration to open, so that you could purchase your ticket. Indeed, you already have your tickets and have May 15 circled on your calendar.
(Do the kids even know what "circled on your calendar" means?)
This list is for the uninaugurated. The tepid, those who ask "why would I go to that?" Or, "I don't want to dress up" - folks. So here is a quick list to entice you.
5. Everyone who has been in the past will come again... that's the ultimate endorsement.
It’s tradition, it’s reunion, it’s the can’t-miss crop-top of the season.
4. Farm to Face Flavor
Taste your way through a feast crafted with love (and veggies) from our very own farmers, foodies, and ranchers. Meet the people who grow your food!
3. Brew-tiful Beers
We teamed up with Squatters to brew a one-of-a-kind Farmers Daughter Tart Cherry Sour. It’s crisp, it’s local (thanks Woodyatt for the cherries), it’s basically summer in a pint glass.
2. Magical Music & Silent Auction Mingling
Music drifts through the air. The vibes seem good. And, upstairs, an intense battle is brewing. Who will win the coveted gift basket, the bespoke trip to Mexico, the hand-thrown pot?! Buyers, start your engines!
1. Not a fundraiser, a FUN-raiser
Every ticket supports our mission to nourish small farms, fuel food access, and keep the Market growing strong. Your party = big impact.
Are you head-over-heels for the Downtown Farmers Market? Like, can’t-stop-won’t-stop-talking-about-it love? Same.
Ever strolled past the Info Booth and thought, “How do I get one of those sweet Market gigs, handing out high-fives and produce tips?” Or maybe you're someone who cares deeply about where your food comes from and wants to plug into Salt Lake’s vibrant local food scene.

We’ve got a handful of seasonal positions open for folks who want to be part of the magic behind one of the largest and longest-running farmers markets in the country.
